Matthias Fernandes is a young designer , in love with the beauty of a perfect cut and the essence of materials.
He enjoys each moment in the process of creation as well as seing his ideas blossom into a full and harmonious collection.
He considers fashion as a poetic know-how and beleives in constant innovation.
Collections will be made in Portugal, his country of origin and a well of craftsmenship.
Hexapode
Year 2128, Civilization is unable to control its evolution , leading to its own destruction. Paris is back to its wild primitive state.
Dense & lush vegetation overwhelms urban areas, environment is hostile, forcing humans to protect themselves from potential dangers.
The Hexapode collection was inspiring by insects by taking their singularities: forms, details and characteristics. FERN places the emphasis on products of top quality, selected carefully such as the cowhide leather, devoured silk , crepe, technical polyester and large zip metal.
Silhouettes are marked with pants high-waisted in black crepe decorated with green topstitching, print founce , yokes and turn ups making a reference has the beetle wings opening. The leather jackets being mainly inspired by battle shells:kimono sleeves, round shape and slit .
